Convenience Or Health?

Junk food is weighing us down.

These days it's hard to sift through all of the nutritional information and health issues to find a good balance on healthy living. There are many diets, herbal supplements, multi-vitamins, and liquid nutritional products competing for our attention and money. And, many of us consume some form of nutritional supplement. But most of us eat whatever is convenient.

This brings me to the question of our motives. Why do we eat/consume the way we do? Do we take in vitamin/mineral supplements to cover for our poor eating habits? Do we not take the supplements due to cost issues? Do we eat junk food or fast food due to convenience? We know that it's not good for our health. But, why do we ignore this fact?

I have 8 recommended suggestions to better our health. It will take discipline, but will be very rewarding.

1. Drink plenty of water each day. It flushes out impurities from the intestines and
colon, partially detoxifying the body.
2. Eat more fish and poultry, less beef, and little to no pork.
3. Eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables (good source of fiber). Rinse first.
4. Eat whole grain foods (excellent fiber source). Fiber helps to cling to and pull
excess sludge from the intestine walls and from the colon. Water flushes it out.
5. Get plenty of rest.
6. Cut back on fried foods. Baking, steaming, boiling, or grilling, is better.
7. Add herbs to some of your food. Many herbs are high in antioxidants. Research the
herbs you like, for the health benefits.
8. Eat less processed food. Processing takes away a lot of the nutritional benefits
that is naturally present in the food. It also adds chemicals that are dangerous
(long-term) to our health.

It's time to take charge of your health. Our diet is a huge contributor to our health, more so than medicine/pharmaceuticals. Our bodies are natural. Putting natural food in us is always better than getting sick and putting unnatural (pharmaceuticals) drugs in our bodies. While going green (natural) is better for the environment, it's also better for our health and better than the convenience of fast food and/or junk food.Click Here!
